Introducing Story Book Trees. Tree dedication with native trees and a local story.
What are Story Book Trees?
Introducing our Story Book Trees (SBT), a packaged purchase that invests in the planting of native trees with a lasting dedication to be told for as long as they stand. We offer two different SBT packages;
$650.00 - Includes a 1.5” - 2” caliper tree, from our native list, delivered and installed, a custom titanium dedication plaque for the base of the tree and a permanent pin that will be marked on our digital map with its dedication story.
$250.00 - Includes a custom titanium dedication plaque for the base of the tree and a permanent pin that will be marked on our digital map with its dedication story. This option does NOT include the tree.
We believe native trees distinguish our yards, neighborhoods and city from all other regions in the World. Big Sky Landscapes’ Story Book Tree Initiative provides an opportunity for stories and impactful memories to be saved and shared with other people in our city through the dedication of a native tree from our short list. You can provide a name, short story or merely a few words and have the tree our team installs dedicated to a digital story map. All who pass by the tree will be able to scan your specific QR code and immediately be able to see your story on our digital story book map, what kind of tree you dedicated and the location of that tree. As our city expands we want to encourage the community to consider the story behind each tree that grows within our city limits. May the roots of all dedicated story book trees grow deep and be recognized for generations to come!

Select from our short listed native trees to be planted in your yard or commercial landscape. These trees are indigenous to our region and come at our recommendation for performance, beauty and their local origins.

This tree can be planted in your yard, a shared purchase with your HOA in a common space, learning centers or incorporated into a commercial development. Our hope is to make our native trees shine and be focal points whether that be to you and your family in the privacy of your own property or a marker throughout your city walk or drive.

The finale touch to our Story Book Initiative, the dedication. A plaque will be placed at the foot of the tree with your chosen name and the year of the planting. In addition, our digital map will create pins of SBTs where your dedication (that be a story, poem or caption..be creative!) can be shared with the public for others to read and connect to. With permission your tree and story can also be featured on our social media.
Through sharing our stories intertwined with these trees they begin to embody and hopefully become what our words can, standing the test of time.
